Crisis averted, with a little hunting I've found all my pictures again.
So, anyways, I know I'm late and Thanksgiving was so last week...but for memories sake, some Turkey Day photos!
This year, we have a lot to be thankful for. It has been one of the hardest, but most rewarding years yet (I'm hoping next year will be more boring though). We are thankful for two new, healthy babies in the family, and we are uber thankul that Nate is home safe and sound from Afghanistan. We are thankful for friends and family. And what I am most thankful for, is that through all the challenges this year has thrown us, my little family grew stronger. I love my little family.
Ok, and now, some Thanksgiving pictures...
Eva enjoyed hanging out with her Auntie Crystal, as did I. I haven't got to see her much in the past few years...from Korea to L.A., she hasn't been around this part of the world much. But, hopefully....she'll stay nearby for awhile? :)

Kaitlyn and Ethan "played" together with the baby toys at Great Grandma's house.

My brother and Christi live in a beautiful neighbourhood, right by the water. We went for a nice little stroll, and Eva and Aaron played "I'm going to get you".

Yummmm, the turkey.

I like Nate's expression in this one...

Story time with Papa Ralph..
This kid knows how to laugh, I like this close-up...

And that's a wrap on our lovely weekend down south. It was great celebrating Nate's homecoming, and chowing down on some delicious grub.
So, what's new around here? We're trying to have a credit-free Christmas, paying for presents and the such sans the tempting credit card. So, I've cut all corners of our budget, including the grocery budget, and have been getting creative (any cheap recipe ideas out there?). I baked my own bread last week...

And bought a huge $4 frozen chicken that was on clearance, and have succesfully spread it into 3 meals (Chicken dinner, leftovers, and today is chicken noodle soup).
I don't mind getting creative with our groceries, eating isn't a huge deal to me. Coffee on the other hand? Huge. Huge deal. As my friend, Grace would say, where's the joy in living if I can't have my Iced Vanilla Latte? And I agree. But, we have gotten creative with our coffee budget as well (yes, we have a coffee budget) and have been making most of our yummy drinks on our home machine. Which is good. But, I miss my Gingersnap lattes.
What's that you say? Oh, that's right, my birthday is in a few days. What do I want for my birthday, you wonder? Well, here's a hint, it rhymes with Barbucks.
Well then it's a good thing that the thing I bought you for your birthday DOES rhyme with Barbucks! Way to go on the baking bread! It looks quite delicious!
And I love the turkey day bib. Love it. She must have one awesome Auntie Jen.
