Parachute Band
Nich and I just got home from an awesome night of music and worship, compliments of the Kiwi group "Parachute Band". It was awesome.

We got to meet a few members of the band after the show. The second guy from the left was Rad! He invited us back to New Zealand for the big Parachute Festival in January.

This festival is the largest Christian Music Festival in the Southern Hemisphere. I got to go a few years ago, and it is huge. Close to 30,000 people come out to it. That's a lot of people for a little New Zealand!

Anyway, a lot of my heart is still there, in New Zealand,- and Nich's too. We'll be going back there someday. Don't know when, but someday.

I've been Tagged
(Edited- per husband's request)

Seven Random Things

1. deleted

2. I had a chihuahua growing up, his registered name was Michelangelo Frederick Sebastian Hardy.

3. I lived in Pennsylvania for 4 years.

4. Growing up, my "attachment object" was a green alligator my brother picked out at the hospital gift shop when I was born.

5. My favourite movie in Junior High was "Newsies". Umm, has anyone else seen this movie? Anyone?

6. I love Tiramisu.

7. I've always wanted to go to Jamaica. Conveniently, so has Nich. We just might hit it up this summer.

I tag Jen, Erica, Nicole, Chelsey, Christi, Angela and Tricia.

Here are the rules… Each person tagged gives 7 random facts about themselves. Those tagged need to write in their blogs the 7 facts, as well as the rules of the game. You need to tag seven others and list their names on your blog. You have to leave those you plan on tagging a note in their comments so they know that they have been tagged and to read your blog.

Thank you Grandma
Dear Grandma,

Thank you for the Dora Car. I can't stop playing with it. Sometimes my parents try to pull me away from it, to get me to eat dinner or change my diaper, or something else ridiculous. But, all I want to do is play in my Dora Car all day long.

Forget any of my other toys my parents have accumulated for me over these past months. All I need is my Car. Did I mention it comes complete with a Lights & Sounds Dora Cell Phone? Yah, Dora and I chat all the time now. We're tight.

In closing, my parents told me to tell you a big, huge THANK YOU for giving them there sanity back. Because now that I have my Dora Car, I am too busy driving around to worry about tantruming.

Lots of love,
Eva

Rainy Sunday
It's been a rainy Sunday afternoon. Eva had a long nap (nice for us all) and then spent the last while rediscovering old toys- the oversized pink ball, and of course, the peek-a-blocks. All in a frilly new Sunday dress (thanks Jennifer!).

Yay for grass
We have a yard! It's not very green yet, but Nich brought some leftover sod home from work today, and in a week or so, we are going to have vibrant, green, beautiful grass.

This summer is going to rock. I can't wait to send Eva outside to play. All I to need is an outdoor playhouse, and a reclining lawn chair. And voila- hours of fun in the sun for Eva and I.

Bring on summer!

First Words
Eva has been saying "Mama" and "Dada" since before she turned one year old. I thought for sure other words would be added to her vocabulary, but month after month went by, and no words...until a few days ago.

So far, here is what she has said:

-ball
-pillow
-nana (Banana)
-bath
-hi
-kitty

Pretty exciting stuff! I've been waiting for this for a loong time.

What else is new? Eva has officially lost her pillow. Which is a tragedy. Fortunately, she is also attached to her bunny, so the world isn't over. But, seriously, where is it? I should have sewn her name and phone number on it. Sad.

Mother's Day was amazing. Nich spoiled me rotten. Some highlights of the day included a foot massage before I got out of bed, meals made by Nich all day long, a short hike through some new trails, and most importantly a gift certificate to SPA UTOPIA! Ahhhh, I'm in heaven already.

Hope all you cool Mom's had a good Mother's Day as well.

Whistler Post
Well, as usual, I forgot my camera on our little Whistler vacation. But my talented sister-in-law, Christi, remembered hers and took some fantastic pics.

Poop in the Tub
Eva is not a dainty girl. She shovels food into her mouth until she chokes, she pushes older boys on the playground...and she poops in the tub.

This used to gross us out, but now we're used to it. It's happened more times than we can count. So, now instead of freaking out, screaming unrecognizable things to the other parent down the hallway, we have a system all worked out.

The parent in the bathroom calmly lifts the poopy child out of the tub, exclaims "poop" to the parent down the hall. That parent then comes in, towels down the child while the other parent empties the tub, pooper-scoops, disinfects, rinses, and fills it again.

Then we scrub her all over with more soap than you can imagine until she smells more like flowers and less like poop.

I just have to share this...
One year ago, after I thought I had lost all my "baby weight" I went on a shopping spree. I discovered a new store (Canadian shopping, agh!) and went to town buying every type of pants (jeans, khakis, dress pants) in a SIZE 9.

A couple months later, they started to sag. So, I went and bought some jeans in a size 7. I could still wear my other size 9'ers, but had to sport a belt.

Then, around Christmas, my size 9's started falling off and my size 7's were feeling ginormous. I thought it was my mistake for buying "stretch" jeans. I figured that they had stretched out over time, and I should just go buy more. But, omigoodness, I went shopping and fit into a Size 5!

Did I mention that I don't exercise or watch what I eat?

So, anyway, moving forward, a few weeks ago I fell in love with some stellar jeans at Le Chateau, but they only had them in a size 3. I decided to try them on for the fun of it, and to my shock! they fit. Unbelievable.

So, there you have it. My shallow, incredibly happy news. I am officially a size 3.

Tidbits
Life has been crazy hectic around here the last while.

We just got back from Terrace, my client dumped a 2-foot high pile of paperwork in my lap, I'm fighting a cold, I'm wrapping up the cleaning job (last week hopefully, hooray!) and we're leaving for Whistler for yet another vacation on Sunday.

Whew.

Will someone please pick me up some ColdFX? Because I don't want to be sick on vacation.

Oh, and Eva likes Doritos. And not just any Doritos either- SPICY Doritos. Crazy kid.
