summer fun
i love this weather we are having. it makes me want to take off to Alki Beach, get an Iced Coffee at Starbucks, and walk the boardwalk. But, here i am in langley- and it's fun. i set up a mini pool on our deck today, and Eva splashed around with her Rubber Ducky. she loved it. and i love how she is growing up, exploring her world, and playing with toys. she amazes me.

the final townhouse news
Just a quick note to let everyone know that we bought our "dream townhouse" last night. We are super excited, and looking forward to having a garage, a linen closet, granite countertops, a patio, berber carpet, a soaker tub, and of course...a WALK-IN CLOSET!!
They have just broken ground on the project, and our expected possession date is October 31st. Happy Halloween to us !

Well, Happy Easter everybody! I am having a super fun day cuz I got to dress Eva up all fancy, in the gorgeous dress that her Grandma got her. Eva thoroughly enjoyed dressing up- mostly because she thought that the dress was a colourful toy that she could eat.

And now for the long awaited...
. . . . townhouse news. We have a "hold" on the dream townhouse that finally went for sale today. We would have bought it right then and there, but they raised the price on us..so now we have one week to make it work financially. Yah, we'll see. We also need to find somewhere to live for 5 months. So, Nich and I have a lot of wrinkles to iron out by next wednesday. But if we figure it all out...WALK-IN CLOSET, HERE I COME!! Wahooooo.

a good night's sleep
Finally, i am well rested! She slept from 8:45pm until 5:35am. Then after she ate she slept again until 8:30 :) Sigh, i hope this lasts. Could it be that the Ferber method actually worked for us? Well, now that i said that, i probably jinxed it. But nevertheless, i am bright-eyed and bushy-tailed- looking forward to getting this townhouse adventure underway.

ferberizing
Still no house news. Which is hilarious because we had an appointment with the realtor to buy it YESTERDAY AT NOON! What a gong show. And what is even more ridiculous is that they have me waiting by the phone- cuz the minute they call i have to pack up the baby, grab nich from work, and jet there in 15 minutes.
So as i am blogging i am listening to my poor eva cry from her crib. It's nap time and she is having a hard time learning how to fall asleep on her own. Every few minutes i have to go in, rub her tummy, tell her i love her, and leave again. In theory she is supposed to cry less and less every day. Stupid theory. She has been crying for 20 minutes. At night we are trying the "Ferber method" to help her learn to sleep thru the night. This involves more crying. And, once again, she is supposed to cry less and less each night. Stupid Ferber. She cried for 1 hour 40 minutes last night. Which is more than the last 3 nights combined.
Um, can you tell i am sleep deprived? Just a little on the grumpy side. Maybe i will try to find some new pics to upload. Eva is cute, this makes me happy.

townhouse
ok so i havent blogged in awhile, cuz i keep hoping that i will have house news- but i have none. we have our house chosen. but it is not for sale yet. it is a brand new townhouse development in Clayton that will be completed in late august/early september. the one we want is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, with a single garage. it has granite countertops, a patio, fireplace, soaker tub... and the best part, a WALK-IN CLOSET!!! I have always dreamed of having one of those since i was a little girl.
So we still don't know yet if it will be ours- apparently a lot of people want it. but here goes hoping..and praying..
