thanks for the prayers
I finally had a decent night sleep! Eva only woke up twice, and then she let me sleep until 9AM. Thank the good Lord, people must be praying.

So, I'm at the grocery store yesterday, with Eva in my arms, and this sweet old man is just staring at me with this dumbfounded look on his face. I walk past him, grabbed some cheddar cheese, then walked by again...and he was still staring at me. Then, he burst out in laughter, and said "Ohhhh, that IS a real baby. I thought it was a doll!"

Hee hee. I guess she is kinda small. I weighed her yesterday (totally unofficially, i stood on the scale and nich handed her to me) and she weighs 10 pounds. She certainly isn't getting any wider, but a whole lot longer.

We'll prolly be putting her to sleep in her crib soon. From day 1 she's been by our bedside in a cradle. But, i think as soon as i get her a mobile for her crib, we'll move her there. Here goes hoping for a smooth transition!

Bathtime

Eva loves her bathtime! She's all smiles when she gets in the tub- it's too cute. Bath hour is pretty much a daily routine now: a scrub in the tub, cuddles, baby massage, and pj's. I dont know who enjoys it more- me or her.

Well, tonight I am going to watch my 2nd ever hockey game. I am not much of a sports person- can you tell? Gonna go cheer on our buddy Adam, who is playing against Trinity Western. Should be fun!

my husband is hot

how did i luck out with the most amazing (and good looking) man in the entire world? God is good! We've been married for 1 year 2 months and 5 days, and they've been the best days of my life. Sometimes I look at him, and then at my daughter, and i can't even take in how blessed I am. I thank God all the time, it seems like I can't thank Him enough. What a lucky gurl I am to have such a great family.

WHAT A CUTE BOY...or is it a girl?
I understand that it's hard to determine the gender of babies. But this is what i dont understand. Recently I have been going to great lengths to make sure Eva dresses "girly", because I am getting tired of the boy or girl question. So I dress her in a purple sleeper, purple baby mitts and matching purple butterfly slippers. And on the way back from getting the mail, the lady down the hall exclaims- "WHAT A CUTE BOY!" I gave her a blank stare, and she recanted "..or is it a girl?"

She was wearing PURPLE people! My last hope is to get her to like wearing hats (she's starting to warm up to the idea), and have her sport a hot pink hat every day. You can't go wrong with hot pink.

On to other things. My happy news is that Nich now works 1 block away from home. Yippee! This means many good things.
1. He comes home for lunch every day
2. I can stroll over with Eva and bug him any time I want
and most importantly
3. I GET THE CAR!

He should be onsite there for about a year- we're both stoked. And as long as we don't move (we've been eyeing up some townhouses up the road), the location couldn't be better.

i'm drinking instant coffee
Gone are the days when i would meticulously create the perfect "Chai Tea Misto" or french press coffee. This barista is retired. If i find time in between baby cries to take a shower- that has first dibs.

I've always heard "life changes so much when you have a baby". But i always thot that those people dont know what theyre talking about, and how hard can it really be? well, now i know, that babies are pretty high maintenance. but i have to admit, i love it. and here is a confession for ya: i love changing diapers. it must be my new obsession with being tidy. but i can't even begin to explain the joy i feel when i am strapping a clean, dry Huggy on Baby Eva.

well i must be blog retarded, because i cant figure out how to get a pic on here. so i'll sign off for now.
