It was a cloudy day, but still warm enough to pack up our buckets and shovels and head to the beach. We were just there for little over an hour, but it was a perfect amount of time to enjoy the ocean, build a sandcastle, and snap some cute photos of my beach babes. I took about a million of Eva, since she's going to Kindergarten next week, I want to capture these last few moments of "babyhood" (if you can call it that) that are left, sniff sniff. She still seems like my baby, but looking at these pictures, she's sure acting like a big girl.

I am totally joking about all of the summer adventures being over (apparently). I forgot that we had a wonderful 'Welcome Home' party for my cousin to travel to in Bellevue, Washington. It was a bit of a long day-trip, in hind-sight we should've made it a two-dayer, since we didn't get home till 10:15pm and the kids stayed awake the entire trip. But, the travel was well worth it. The Bellevue Botanical Gardens were beautiful, and it was so lovely to hang out with extended family. I only got a handful of pictures, since my camera battery died, but you can see the small album here:

We just got back from a wonderful, week-long vacation at the Oregon Coast. I'm just sorting through pictures now, but here's a sneak peek at a couple favourites. I'll post the rest either here or on Facebook sometime soon.

And, my new favouite, Kaitlyn actually smiled for the camera :)



I know my blog has been barely chugging along the past few months. I keep thinking I will get un-busy, but that never seems to happen. We're either on vacation, or have house guests, or I'm somewhere in between, trying to get my house back together. This summer has been SO intensely fun. I've loved all the adventures we've gone on, and all the family and friend fun.

But now, we're home from our last big adventure, and it appears that summer is starting to wrap up. So maybe, just maybe, I'll have more time to blog in the fall. I hope so, anyway.
