Snowed in
I don't drive in the snow- so, for the second day in the row Eva and I have been stuck in the house. It hasn't been so bad, it's kinda nice to just relax. Especially now that I'm in my third trimester, and I don't have a ton of extra energy.

Speaking of pregnancy, I'm 30 weeks! Which sounds so great, except someone last night said "Just 10 weeks to go." And, for some reason, 10 weeks sounds long to me. But, 9 weeks sounds really good, so I guess I'll just look forward to next week.

Eva eats frozen peas, did you know that? She doesn't eat much of anything else, but she begs for frozen peas. A while ago, at dinner, she finished all her peas and asked for more. Of course I'm going to give her more, so I refilled her bowl. She inhaled those and asked for more. Again, I refilled her bowl. And again, she inhaled and asked for more. So, I just gave her the bag...

I am so done
So, we got another offer last night. We countered back and forth for awhile, until we liked what we saw, and accepted their offer. Then, their Realtor when MIA for the rest of the night, so we never got to finalize it.

This morning, I got a call from our Realtor saying the other people were having second thoughts and wanted to come see the house again. They have until 6pm tonight before the contract times out, to make up their minds.

I'll keep ya posted.

*** update ****

We have a signed offer. It will be a done, firm deal on Sunday (Lord willing). Hooray!

On the market
Well, the realtors came last night and the home photographer is coming in one hour. It is so hard to make the house look picture perfect with a 2-year old around! Last time I did this, she was just a baby, so when I cleaned something- it stayed clean. And if I picked up toys- they stayed picked up. But, for the most part, I think our house is ready to show.

Counting in Spanish
This morning, as Eva was building a tower, she started counting the levels. I tuned in, because this didn't sound like just any normal english counting...

"Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis..."

Wow, apparently Dora the Explorer does not rot the brain. She can count in Spanish! Although, every time I ask her to count in Spanish, she doesn't clue in, and counts in English. So, it's only done on her own accord. But, seriously, how cool is that (sorry, annoying mom braggy moment over).

Nich stopped in at our new house project on the way home from work yesterday, and had a little chatty-chat with the Site Supervisor. He's thinking the new date will be March 30th. Good thing we were already planning on it being late, and are now going to move after the baby is born- April 28th-ish. It would've been nice to be all moved in and settled pre-baby, but you know what wouldn't have been nice? Another delay, forcing us to be homeless with a new baby. No thanks. So, end of April it is.

Well, I've been pretty yappy on my blog lately. Not much picture action. How about wrapping it up with a picture of Eva jamming on the guitar.

Chocolate chip Cookies and Americano Mistos
My hot husband is in the kitchen making chocolate chip cookies for me as I type this. He's great. I was whining how there were no sweets in the house. Because even though I went grocery shopping today, I was such a good girl and passed the cookie aisle AND the ice cream aisle without stopping. Well, I also had a screaming kid in the cart begging for the bulk cashews I just bagged. But, I couldn't give them to her until we checked out, cuz you know, they charge you by the weight of the bag. So, I had to beeline it to the checkout sans unhealthy evening snacks.

And that is why, at 9:12 pm, my sweet husband (the baker of the house) is whipping up some of his famous chocolate chip cookies.

What else is new? Not much. That's why I haven't blogged. I have Starbucks news for you though. I don't know when it happened. Maybe in the last couple months or so? But, my drinks have been tasting mysteriously different. Like they are missing something. And last week I figured out what it was. On their espresso machine, a magnet read:

"Like many of you, we have switched to 2% milk"

Ahhhh! The horror! Why didn't they tell me? I enjoy every drip of fatty homogenized milk in my lattes thankyouverymuch. And can I just say, I am slightly annoyed that I now have to add two more words to my long drink order. I can just see them rolling their eyes at me as I spew out what I want:

Decaf Tall Whole Milk Americano Misto with Foam

And if I go thru drive-thru I have to get them to add the extras, so the order is even longer:

Decaf Tall Whole Milk Americano Misto with Foam, 2 Raw Sugars and a splash of Coffee Cream

Are you rolling your eyes? I know it sounds ridiculous, but trust me, you should go to Starbucks right now and try one, you really should. It won't disappoint.

Another prego update
Well, I had my 27 week check-up yesterday. It was somewhat eventful, since my Doctor finally received the Ultrasound report from 9 weeks ago. He showed the whole report to me, complete with graphs and medical jarble, and the whole time he was discussing it, I ignored him while frantically looking for where they labeled the sex of the fetus. I didn't find it. Bummer. But the bigger bummer? When I finally tuned into what he was saying, the ultrasound measured my baby small (surprise surprise, I'm a small person!) and because of this, they are changing my due date.

Lame.

The same thing happened with Eva, except they changed her due date by over 2 weeks. And I knew they were wrong, so I ignored them. Originally her due date was Dec 4th. Her ultrasound measurements were small, so they changed it to December 21st. Isn't that CRAZY? Finally, another ultrasound measured her at being due December 14th. So I went with that one. She arrived December 9th. Technology is so silly. So are due dates.

Anyway, the new due date (sniffle sniffle) is April 9th (changed from April 3rd). Kinda lame, but that was the exact date I told Nich I was expecting the baby on anyhow. Not that I know or anything, it's just my guess date.

Moving on, the heart beat was 144 bpm, and I've gained 15 pounds overall, which I guess is somewhat normal. Everything looks good and sounds good, so yay!

What else is new? I'm gearing up for labour and delivery. We decided not to go with a doula, but instead my good friend Jennifer will be there beside me, reminding me to breathe, giving me ice chips and most importantly, not sleeping.

I've bought so many birthing books/dvd's, I'll be up to my eyeballs in reading and practicing until the baby comes. So far, I've read/watched:

- A 6 hour labour/delivery prep movie
- Mongan's hypnobirthing book
- Rocki's Prenatal Yoga- Labour preperation
- Supernatural Birth (painless birth through prayer & faith)

And next up:

- Breathing your way through Birth with Yoga
- Rocki's Prenatal Yoga - Labour Prep Disc 2
- Christ-Centered ChildBirth

Yes, I am covering all my bases. Yes, I am a bit crazy. Yes, I am SCARED TO DEATH AND WANT TO BE AS PREPARED AS POSSIBLE.

So, if you're wondering what I'll be up to for the next 3 months. I will be practicing my prenatal yoga, listening to my hypnobirthing cd, and praying praying praying. Oh, and Eva will be practicing yoga right beside me.

The new house
I can't believe we're moving again, it's exciting but annoying at the same time. Selling, buying and moving is sooo..well, issue-y. You know? I just want to be settled.

But, watching our house being built is oodles of fun. And it's even more fun this time because we are customizing it, and Nich is doing a lot of the finish work. It's kinda like getting to build your own house- but only the fun part. Picking paint colours, flooring, etc.

We walked through our not-so-finished house last week. I'm finding the Feb 28th completion date a little hard to believe. We are banking on mid-March. Hopefully this will all be water under the bridge by the time Baby Bean arrives. Here's some pictures.

Our neighbours house- with finished brick and siding (ours is half-done)

The den area with french doors that will open onto our deck,
with stairs going down to our yard.

View of the kitchen from the top of the entry stairs

Little Miss Cutie-Pie

Stairs that go up to the bedrooms. You can't tell how cool they are yet, but
this is what made me fall in love with the place. Instead of a wall, that open space
is going to have rod iron and wood railings. Super fancy looking and opens up
the space so much more.

Eva's Room complete with a Bay window.

And the rest of the pics all start to look the same, it's way more fun when the drywall stage is complete. I would have show home pics for you, but the very day I packed my camera to go take pictures, is the day they decided to tear it down. Whatever.

We're meeting with our Realtor on Saturday to get the ball rolling, now that the holidays are over. I just wish I could fast forward three months.

Prego post
Twenty-six weeks down, 13 more to go. This pregnancy has been a breeze (knocking on wood) and I'm actually sad it's almost over. I'll probably be singing a different tune as I come closer to my due date. But, for now, I'm happy as a clam to be pregnant. This one has been so much easier than last time.

I love "Baby Bean Time". Every morning, after Nich's alarm goes off (around 6am), Baby Bean wakes up and kicks and pushes. And I just lay there, with my hand on my tummy and enjoy him. I have to say "him" because I don't want to say "it" and Nich is really hoping for a boy this time, so maybe? just maybe? it's a boy. (Although, for the record I'm thinking it's a girl. And we still need a girl middle name. Any ideas?)

Ok, how abouts a belly shot.

I just bought that hoodie at Thyme Maternity, and it fit a bit big. Then I accidentally put it in the dryer and it shrunk. Needless to say it won't be lasting me very much longer.

Well, stay tuned for a new house post. When I get around to it, I have pictures to share :) Woowwoo.
