Christmas in Video
For all the family we didn't get to celebrate Christmas with this year. Here is the munchkin in action early Christmas morning...

Christmas in Pictures
I love life. I have turkey soup simmering on the stove, Eva is upstairs napping, and we just had a wonderful Christmas with our wonderful family. Here are some pictures from Christmas day.

Eva loved every minute of the present opening. Being a parent makes the magic of Christmas come alive all over again. I love how excited she gets.

Cousin Aaron loved opening presents too!

And they enjoyed playing with Uncle Nich's train that he got from "Santa" (aka Grandma Fosmark)

Helping Mommy open her presents too!

Uncle Nate, Auntie Christi and Aaron sure spoiled Eva this Christmas with a gift that was twice the size of her. An art easel from Ikea, she loves it.

Uncle Nate and Eva checking out their new goodies

After all the present-opening madness ended, the kids played, played, and played some more.

Well, there is still so much I want to blog about. The new house (I have pictures!) and how about a 3rd trimester preggy update post. So, maybe tomorrow...or Monday or something. I am so overdue for some serious blog posts.

White Christmas
I get so overwhelmed if I don't blog for a few days. Because as each un-blogged day goes by, more and more blog-worthy events and pictures add up until blogging it all seems impossible. So. Here is the last week in list-form. With many blog-worthy events already forgotten I'm sure.

- Christmas rocked. Nich and I made the big turkey dinner this year at our house, and I think we pulled it off. Eva and her cousin Aaron (who's almost two) sat at a kids table for the first time. I'm so proud!

- Eva got spoiled rotten by great-grandparents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins on Christmas. She's in new toy heaven. My Little Ponies, Dora figurines, a Mini Kitchen, Thomas the Train book & cd, a new stuffed puppy she has named "Precious" (I should get that on video, it is so sweet how she says "Preeciousss" and then gives him a kiss), an art easel from Ikea that she can colour on to her hearts content....ohh so many new cool toys to list. And she loves it all.

- We had a white Christmas! Can you believe it? It actually snowed, this is the first white Christmas I remember in a long time. So beautiful.

- I am in my 3rd trimester!! Woot Woot! Belly pics to come.

- I keep forgetting to feed my cat at night. And the next morning I have a VERY unhappy Siamese. Have you heard an unhappy Siamese? They are loud.

- Eva got new dolls and furniture for her dollhouse in her room. She loves it so much she wouldn't nap yesterday. I kept going in there to re-tuck her in, and she kept getting out of bed to play dollhouse again.

Well, there's a bit of an update, and sorry no Christmas pictures. I have over 200 pictures and a few videos on my camera, and getting them on my computer is going to take sooo long. So, maybe another day.

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas!

My AE Pants
If you happen to drop by my house unannounced in the next few months, you will find me lounging around the house in these:

Nich got them for my birthday (along with the house- yes, I am so spoiled). And they are insanely comfortable. Every time I come home from errands, I slip out of my maternity jeans and into these heavenly fleece pants. I love them. I wish I could wear them every minute of every hour of every day. While sipping an Americano Misto with 3 raw sugars and a splash of coffee cream. Yes, that would be my heaven.

Eva update
It's been a long time since an Eva update. And since she has been exceptionally cute lately, I thought I'd share what she's been up to:

-She can count to 12 now, although she tries to count higher, and says 14 over and over after 12.

- When something goes wrong, she exclaims "OH DEAR" or "OH MY"

- She begs for "pretties" (ponytail holders) in her hair now. Now that's progress!

-She says the phrase "Push It" for just about anything (puzzles, toys, shopping carts and on and on) The thing is- it doesn't sound like push it. Sounds like something that rhymes with push it. That isn't very nice. It doesn't help that the "pu" part is quiet and she yells the last part. Loud. I've already been embarassed at the grocery store and on the phone with a client.

- She still eats like a bird

- She says "Bless you" when someone sneezes

- She sleeps in until 8:00 almost every morning.

- We took her to our new house, she walked up the stairs, looked around and said "WOW!"

- She says "Please" and "Thank you"

- She is my little cheerleader. If I walk in the room after being gone for awhile, she'll drop what she's doing, clap and say "Yayy, Woohooo, Mommy's heeeeeeere!" Not kidding. I've trained her well.

There are a million more sweet things she's doing, I just love her to pieces. I can't get over how much she's changed since she's turned 2. She is growing up to be such a kind, loving, polite, gentle girl. I am just so proud. Everyone talks about the "Terrible 2's", but I'm wondering if we went through that when she was 1. She was so much more tantrum-y and rebellious during that year, then she has been the last little while.

Annd, before I hit the hay, we went to visit Santa on the weekend. This wasn't really a hit with Eva, but here's the pic nevertheless.

He was a super cool Santa- he even gave her a teddy bear! And the whole thing was free- you just had to bring some cans to donate.

And there is so much more I could update on, but that's all for now. Hope you are all enjoying this magical season with your little ones, as much as I am!

House news
Isn't it crazy that we're moving again? I know, we're nuts. We just bought this place brand new less than a year ago. But, with Baby Bean on the way, we were really hoping for another bedroom. And everything is falling into place so well with this house, it really seems like a "God thing". Although, I should say, it's not set in stone yet, everything seems to be working out just dandy.

It's only a few blocks from where we live now (same neighbourhood, yay!). It will be finished February 28th, so we're hoping to move sometime in March before the baby comes. AND, this is where Nich is working right now, so he just landed the finishing carpentry contract yesterday for our house. He is absolutely overjoyed. If it was up to him, he would finish building the whole house himself (yep- he could do that, he is that talented), but since everything has been contracted out, he has to try for each one with all of the sub-contractors. Pretty exciting stuff.

I tried to find interior pics of the show home online, but they have them all privacy protected. (All I could find was an artist rendering of the exterior- above). And I don't want to link you there, cuz it has the address listed (not that I'm cool enough to have a stalker, but the thought really freaks me out). So, anyway, if you want to see more pics and details, email me and I'll send you the link.

A few party pics
Wow, ya'll. We've been running around like crazy this week. We've had birthday parties the last three days in a row. Yes, we are party people. It's been so.much.fun. And amidst ALL of the partying, we still managed to get a Christmas tree, wrap all the Christmas presents, start Christmas cards, and buy a house. Mmhm, Nich bought a 3 bedroom townhouse for me for my birthday. It was a good day.

K, before I disappear into the kitchen to start my Christmas baking. How about a few shots from Eva's partay.

That's just a few of the pics, I took lots more, but I gotta jet. I have so much catching up to do around the house, for work, Christmas preparations... oh, and did I mention we're buying a house?

Happy Birthday to Us

We had a wonderful birthday party for Eva today, I can't believe she's 2 already! She got to see lots of friends, family, even her Great Grandma and Great Grandpa came up from the States to wish her a Happy Birthday.

And in a few hours it's my birthday. I'll be 26, woohoo. I don't mind sharing birthday thunder with this little munchkin, she's sure cute. And kid birthdays are way more fun anyways.

23 weeks pregnant
The Doctor's appointment yesterday went well. Especially noting that pregnancy brain has taken over my entire life, and I remembered to show up. I can't seem to remember anything lately. Just a few minutes ago, I took milk out of the fridge and then couldn't remember why. It's bad.

So, what's new with Baby Bean? The heartbeat is 145 bpm, and the Old Wives Tale says it's a girl. Everything else is going well, he's even waiving the icky glucose test because he says I don't need it. Hooray! No gross orange soda to down (does anyone even know what I'm talking about?)

Annd how about a belly pic. Took last week, sorry no current one. Too lazy to take the camera upstairs. No, actually, I would. But, then pregnancy brain would take over, and I would totally forget that I was in the middle of blogging. So if I don't publish this NOW it will never get done. Peace out.

Dreaming of a 3 bedroom townhouse
Whoa, how did Thursday happen? I've been so busy this week, it's just flying by. I am in the midst of working, party planning (Eva's birthday bash countdown: 3 days), Christmas cards, annnnd we might be house hunting.

We weren't planning on looking for a bigger place until long after Baby Bean arrived. But, Nich works for a builder, and the Big Boss said we'd surely get a great deal if we wanted to buy one. So, we picked our townhouse, and then talked numbers with the Big Big Boss.

No deal.

I wish first Big Boss wouldn't have gotten our hopes up. I was so bummed. I ate lots of ice cream, and had lots of Starbucks therapy. But, I'm doing better now. And, hopefully we can settle this moving thing before Baby Bean arrives.

Now, I need some advice. Some background: Nich and I have always bought brand new. In this scenario, selling and buying are relatively easy and there is almost no fear of having two mortgages at once. Now, my question for you is, HOW does one normally go about buying and selling with trying to work out the dates so you're not:

A) Homeless
B) Strapped with two mortgages

Do you buy first? Sell first? Make an offer contingent to sale? I need your wisdom, oh wise ones. Please share.

In other news, I have my Dr.'s appointment this afternoon. So, a Baby Bean update is surely to come soon. And belly pics.

Until then...how about a goofy picture.

Happy Snow Day!!
Well, the original plan for today was to hit Ikea for breakfast and do a little shopping. But, we woke up to a beautiful winter wonderland! So, we got all geared up in our snow stuff and went for a little romp in our yard.

Eva is thrilled with all the snow. Her and Daddy went out and made her very first snowman...

It is so fun having a toddler. And it's supposed to snow 10-15 cm more tonight. So, there may be many more snowmen and snow angels in our future.
