Day at the Park
This morning, after Nich finished work, he came home with a big, shiny, PINK ball for Eva. We were so excited to take her out to play, we woke her up early from her nap, and whisked her off to the park. She had a blast!

After the park, we took Eva to Toys R Us, and let her pick out a new Mega Blocks toy. Then we went to Safeway (oh how I love Safeway, if I wasn't so cheap I would get always shop there) and picked up Crab Legs! Asparagus! Bakery Bread! and Garlic Butter!

Dinner was heavenly. And Eva has been building Mega Block towers taller than her all afternoon.

Eva and Josie
Meet Josie. A purebread Seal Point Siamese. She "talks" a lot, sits on command, rolls over, and prefers her water chilled.

She is also Eva's favourite toy...

I can't believe she puts up with that. What a champ.

The Golden Arches

Eva had her first McDonalds breakfast on Saturday morning. It was loads of fun. I ordered her a "Happy Meal Breakfast" that came complete with 3 hotcakes, a hashbrown (my FAVOURITE), apple juice, and a TOY! Who can forget the toy? Eva got a Teenage Mutant ninja turtle..hahaha. And to top it off, it was holding a machete. Rad. Oh, also, I might add that she ate none of this Happy Meal Breakfast. Which i thought might happen, so I brought Cheerios from home, and happily ate her food.

In other news, Eva touched a dead fish that was laying on the ground at the pet store. Gross. Where was her mom anyway?

And in other other news, embarrassing news. You may have got a "tagged" email from me. Oh my word, I am SO embarrassed. It was 7 in the morning, I got this email saying a friend of mine had invited me to join tagged.com. So, i accepted the invite, and then the stupid website got into my hotmail account and highlighted EVERYONE'S names, and being that it was 7 in the morning, I didn't realize this until after I clicked "done" and BAM. 500 million emails were sent out to people I haven't talked to in YEARS. We're talking: the Pastor that married Nich and I in Victoria 2 1/2 years ago. Every wedding photographer we ever interviewed. Staff at New Zealand Capernwray Bible School. Ex-boyfriends. Business contacts. Everyone.

Oh, I am so embarrassed.

So, if you got the email, ignore it. And I'm off to go clear out my Hotmail Contacts list.

Dora
Sorrrry I've been gone so long. Only 4 more weeks of work, friends. Hang on with me. How about some pictures?

Fascinated with the answering machine

Isn't she cute when she's angry?

The newest, bestest thing that Eva is doing is answering Dora's questions at the end of the show. If you've never seen Dora the Explorer, let me enlighten you. At the end of each episode Dora shares her favourite thing they did today. And then she asks the viewers what their favourite part was. Every time Dora asks this question, Eva babbles this long answer. Example:

Dora: What was your favourite part of the trip?

Eva: nahnahgahgahdahdahmaah

Dora: (cuts Eva off) That was MY favourite part too!!!

Anyway, just got back from the movie store and rented another Dora DVD for Eva. She's pretty stoked, she's engulfed in it right now.

Well, I better Vamanos. Adios Amigos!

Time Flies
Had a fantastic weekend in the States, visiting friends and family. Even saw some buddies from high skool that I haven't seen in 8 years. I can't believe I graduated 8 years ago. Sheesh.

I also can't believe it's almost been one week since I blogged. I thought I blogged yesterday. Where does time go?

And, unfortunately, I don't even have time to blog right now. My floor still needs a wash, Eva needs attention, and green peppers need to be stuffed. Yum. Stuffed Green Peppers for dinner.

See ya.

Picky Eater
You may not know this, but Eva's dinner repertoire consists of three things:

-Macaroni & Cheese
-Beef Stroganoff (made with Macaroni Noodles)
-Tuna Noodle Casserole (made with- you guessed it- Macaroni Noodles)

A little over a month ago, she was JUST eating Mac & Cheese. Everything else was rejected. Tossed across the room with a look of disgust on her face. Then, i snuck in the tuna casserole. It tooks DAYS upon DAYS of unsuccesful tries- and finally she accepted it. And, now she eats it while humming "Yummmmmmmm". Finally, a few weeks ago we conquered Beef Stroganoff. It was good, we were on a roll. Soon she would be eating everything, right?

Wrong.

She is now refusing anything that isn't one of the above three meals. And, I don't want her to starve, so I usually cave in and feed her some ridiculous snack like a banana or cheese slices. But, it sucks that she isn't eating a proper meal. So what do I do?

-Quit trying, and stick with the 3 meals she'll eat?

-Be strict, and let her starve if she won't eat what's in front of her?

Or is there some in between option that I haven't thought of yet? Help!

Garden Vegetable
Who else is digging this new time change? I love that it happens earlier! And I especially love that it's almost 7pm, and it's still light outside. I feel spring coming on. Woot woot.

Nich and I were so tired from working today, that we ordered in pizza. Yes, that's right, DELIVERY. We spoiled ourselves, I don't even remember the last time we ordered dinner delivered to our door. But, really, the point of my pizza delivery story is this:

Nich asked what kind of pizza I wanted. I reply "tomato and mushroom". Somehow, during the phone call order, he gets talked into ordering me Garden Vegetable pizza. Garden Vegetable! Have you heard of a more disgusting sounding pizza in your life? So, I have a mini flip-out, when he tells me what he ordered. But, then I apologized and said it would probably be good. So, the pizza arrives, and all I see are olives! onions! and pineapple! And did I mention icky OLIVES? Ew! And what's with the pineapple being on a "garden vegetable" pizza anyways. Pineapple is a fruit, people.

So, I had another mini flip-out (I am such a child sometimes, poor Nich) and my dear husband takes my pizza and attempts to pick the olives, onions, pineapples and other strange unrecognizable things off my piece. What a guy. And, oh, did I mention he brought me flowers? He does this once or twice a month, out of the blue, for no reason at all. And, huh, where am I going with all this?

Garden Vegetable Pizza is gross

Nich is the perfect husband (overlooking his pizza ordering abilities of course)

Teresa is a tantrum-throwing picky pizza eater

Mexx is having their baby sale right now, so I went and got Eva an Easter dress. This is the FIRST floral print dressy item I have EVER bought for Eva. Aren't you proud?

Nich thinks she looks hilarious, like she is wearing a ballerina tutu. But, I think it's cute.

At this very moment, Nich and Eva are watching a knowledge channel show on Mantids. Cool. This is why I am blogging.

So, yah, random, I wish I could blog about work but that is one of those things you just shouldn't blog about. But, really that is all that is going on right now. Work work work. I am immersed in it. Obsessed with it. It is taking over my life, I wake up at 3am with a new plan on how to clean faster, better...but, hey, the good news is I am approximately 29% done with my job. How do I know this? I am an Excel nerd, and I have spreadsheet upon spreadsheet detailing hours worked, suites completed, supplies used/needed. Yah, ok, i shouldn't blog about work.

So, hey, has ANYONE out there won Roll up the Rim yet? Because between Nich and I, we have rolled over a dozen rims since this game started and haven't won yet. So, just wondering if the whole game is a hoax.

I met my 4 year old neighbour last night. She is now my favourite person. She said things like:

"I wish you were my Mom"

"I love your couch! I wish we had a couch like that. Can I sit on it?"

"You're baby is sooooo cute, can she come out and play?"

When she asked what I was making for dinner (Tuna Rice Casserole), she exclaims " I LOVE Tuna! Can I have some?"

And to top it all off, when I told her I was about to go to work, she replied, "Ohhh I'll babysit Eva!"

Roll up the Rim to Win
Let's start with a family photo...

And now that you're memory is refreshed as to what we all look like, the blogging shall commence.

Something phenomenal happened this weekend: we stayed out past 8:00. Annd Eva successfully stayed with and behaved for a babysitter she had never met. Hallelujah! We stayed out until a record-breaking 11:30. It was invigorating.

What else is new: woowee, not much. Our bedroom now has one chocolate painted wall. It looks yummy, like a Hershey bar. Speaking of yummy, Tim Horton's "Roll Up the Rim" game is on now. This is the time of year that we often forego Starbucks, and get cheap and delicious French Vanilla Cappuccino's if only for a chance to win a DONUT or a FREE COFFEE or a CAR. So far, I have got 2 "Please Play Again's". I better at least win a donut this year. Last year, my friend Nicole came up from the States and won a donut. And she gave it to me. So sweet. I need her lucky butt to get back up here and win us a Toyota Camry Hybrid.
