31 Weeks
I feel like I'm in the final stretch...9 weeks to go! I still feel great (other than the constant stuffy nose that has haunted me for 7 months now) and I still have energy. I am starting to get Braxton Hicks contractions quite often, especially when I am on my feet all day. But, really, I can't complain. I feel fantastic and I really do love being pregnant. This is the last time, sniff sniff.

I am all ready for the baby to arrive (I know, it's so early, I'm a planner...). The nursery is painted blue, and most of the pictures are hung. The baby dresser is bursting full of newborn clothes. Much to Nich's dismay, there is baby gear (swings, playmats, etc) all over our house (thanks to sweet friends for letting us borrow their stuff!). And, I am nesting like crazy. Going through closets and drawers, trying to get everything organized before the little one gets here. I love these last few weeks. The anticipation of the baby's arrival, getting the house ready, feeling the baby's kicks and rolls getting stronger. I love it. And, I almost feel like it's flying by too fast.

For only two more months I will "just" have my two little girls. That makes part of me sad. And, I'm nervous for how the family dynamic is going to change. But, more than that, I know it will be good. Eva has informed me that she will be the one taking care of the baby. I asked her what she's going to do, and she says

"Everything. Rocking the baby, singing to him, putting him to bed. Everything except changing his diaper."

And, she asks every day if the baby can just come already. I know she's excited, but I also know it's going to rock her world. I just hope the transition goes ok. Oh, and if you're wondering about Kaitlyn, she doesn't get it at all. She says she's excited to have a new baby in the house, but I know it hasn't clicked yet.

So, there ya have it. And, I'll end with a belly pic:

I already weigh the same as when I had Kaitlyn. Oh well! I think I'm going to look back 3 years in my archives and see what I looked like back then at 31 weeks. Click here if you want to see, too.

You look incredible!!! I'm also already at what I was at when I had Liliana - plus one pound. (Although I started much heavier and gained MUCH less.)

I totally get the nesting thing - can't wait until tomorrow so I can stay home and clean/organize all day. (Only 7 more weeks of working 6 days a week, woo!!)

I can't believe you have only 9 weeks left. I remember our first email interaction about the babies. SO EXCITED to meet them!!

how exciting - so cute that Eva wants to take care of the baby when he comes - she sure is a smart lil girl - everything but the diapers - think I'd be down for that too.

    enjoy your last few weeks!
