Another random updating post
First and foremost, thank you friends and family for all the congratulatory comments. You are all very sweet. And, we are really, really excited.

Now, for some random updates..

- This pregnancy has been really tough thus far: nausea, not being able to keep meals down, allergies that have come from out of nowhere, I keep getting sick because I have no immune system when I'm pregnant, and the intense, deep, aching tiredness and lethargy that I finally figured out is because of iron deficiency. I keep hoping that the 2nd trimester will be easier. It has to be, right? Because, I need a break.

- I forgot to pack Eva's Kindergarten snack today. I felt like such a failure parent. Before I went to pick her up I picked up some Timbits (mini donuts) to apologize and because I knew she would be starving. She was almost in tears when I picked her up, which made me cry. Which is silly, really, because it wasn't a meal she was missing or anything. Just a little morning snack. But, she had to sit in the corner and read books while all the other kids ate. And, man, I just feel so bad.

- Nich installed Dual Shower Heads in our oversized shower, and re-tiled it with a beautiful, earthy copper-coloured tile. It's luxurious. He's my hero.

- We're finding out in 6 weeks if it's a boy or a girl. I'm really excited. I'm going to do my baby clothes shopping here. And, get my inspiration for nursery-decorating from here.

- I still have no pictures for you. I'm sorry. I've barely picked up my camera as I'm either chasing kids around, madly trying to get chores done or sitting exhausted and nauseated on the couch. That's just my life right now. Second Trimester? I need you to be good to me.

- One day soon, I'll post a belly shot, cuz yep, I have a belly already!

I forgot to pack Kaylie a lunch one day. Luckily, a friend shared with her, but MAJOR mom-failure feeling. It sucks. I'm sorry you had to experience it!

I'm stoked to shop for your 77kids baby as well. :)

I can't believe the teacher didn't ask some of the other kids to share - or better yet, David's Kindergarten teacher always had some spare fruit snacks or yogurt tubes in her fridge. Don't feel like a mommy failure; we've all forgotten at one point or another!

Ugh. I hope you feel better soon!
I keep extra snacks in my classroom.... And don't feel bad. Parents forget to pack snacks all the time! Especially the parents with other little ones at home....

Awww, that stinks about the snack. In Daisy's class the parents send something for the Whole class every month, and everyone eats the same snack in the morning. :( If it makes you feel better, I slept in yesterday and Daisy was 45 minutes late to school, after missing a whole week (my brother was in town with his family so I kept her out of school). Was a little embaressed that I was so late getting her to school. Oh, and I hope it gets better for you soon! Hate to hear that you pregnancy is so hard. :(
