Our backyard is a disaster. We have a half-built deck on one side, and an old, rotted one awaiting demolition on the other side. There are piles of random rocks everywhere. A planter box to be built, and sod to be laid down.
The final vision is spectacular. More yard for the kids to run and play, a sturdy, private deck to enjoy backyard BBQ's on, a place to plant vegetables (potatoes, carrots and peas!), and, of course, what family backyard is complete without a swingset?
This is the weekend project that Nich (and his little helper, Eva) has taken on:
We picked up the slide last night, and Nich and Eva are out in the truck picking up the lumber right now. Eva is over the moon excited. And, I am eagerly awaiting those spring and summer days, when I can lounge outside while the kids happily play on their new swingset.
