Plum tuckered
It's pretty crazy having a home 'under renovation'. Even though Nich is just working in the basement, we've already experienced many plumbing and gas complications that have affected the upstairs. Along with that, I am trying to hold the whole house together. Usually, Nich would be in charge of the outside- lawn watering, gardening, car washing, vacuuming, etc. And I do what I do best, on the inside- cooking, cleaning, diapering, finances, etc.

But, now that Nich is working like crazy trying to get the basement suite done in a timely fashion, all of it has fallen on my shoulders. And on top of that, I still have loads of unpacking to do. We are both exhausted. And running on little sleep.

So, if you are wondering where I have disappeared to and how I am doing- I am busy trying to keep this household afloat (how do single, working parents do it?!) and I am drinking 5 cups of coffee a day to survive.

So, to end this post on a cute note, some pictures of the two adorable girls that bring so much joy to these crazy days.

I know it's going to get better. The basement will be done in 3-4 weeks. I am unpacking more boxes every day. I am becoming a whiz at lawn & garden maintenance (I mowed a lawn for the first time! It was fun!)

And, really, how bad can anything be with Starbucks one minute away?

Ohhh, I love, love, love the curls! And don't let yourself get overwhelmed. It will get done when it gets done. In the meantime, just do what you can do and think of how great it will be when it is all done.
