Gisborne
It has been almost a year since my 13-year old Siamese, 'Josephine Gabrielle' went to kitty heaven. I miss her dearly. And I finally got Nich somewhat excited (with much prompting and bribing and puppy-dog eyes) about the idea of having another cat around.

I visited a Siamese breeder down the road (once a Siamese lover, always a Siamese lover) and next thing ya know....we're getting a kitty! A little boy, and we're going to name him 'Gisborne'. There's meaning behind that name, I'll save the story for another blog post. But, I bet some of you recognize where the name is from.

Anyhow, would you like to see him? Here is a picture of him and his two brothers just 6 days old.

He's 2 1/2 weeks old now. So, I'm sure he looks a lot different. The breeder updates pictures every couple weeks, so I'll have a new one in a few days. Also, we don't pick which kitty is ours until August. But, the two with the darker noses are 'Seal Points', so I'm pretty sure we'll pick one of those guys.

We are so excited! Nich is going to build him a cat tree. And I'm counting down the days until we get to bring him home: 72 days.

And the other popular countdown in the house...moving day in 9 days!

I remember when he used to build cat trees back in the day! I'm sure he's got some grand extravagant cat tree planned.

    Congrats on the kitty!

WHAT?! Josie is gone! I guess I am way behind. Well, I am glad that you are coping with your loss and finding it in your hearts to love again. ;-)
