one step forward, two steps back
Well, we finally did it. We made the transition to the crib. It's been 2 nights now that she's been in her new room...two very sleepless nights. She was doing so well before we changed it up! She would only wake once around 330am-4am to eat and then she'd sleep till morning. Now, it's like having a newborn all over again. This was our night last night:

8:30pm final feed
8:50 tuck in bed
9:30 she cries until we pick her up and hang out with her
10:00 she drifts off to sleep in my arms
10:30 dream feed
10:50 tuck in bed (she actually stays asleep this time)
1:40am she cries until i feed her
2:20am finally falls asleep
2:45 cries until i come in and soothe her
3:10 finally back to sleep
4:45 cries - i beg nich to feed her- have barely slept since the 1:40 incident
5:00 tuck in bed (nich comes back to bed)
5:15 cries until soothed
5:20 back to sleep for a few minutes
5:45 cries some more
6:00 finally back to sleep
7:30 cries cuz she's hungry
7:50 back to sleep
8:30 cries cuz she's awake and doesn't understand why Mommy wants to sleep

So I've done the calculations and I got 4 1/2 hours of broken sleep last night, more like 5 medium-size naps. So, I am going to go hit the cafe and order my new favourite: a Vanilla Bean latte...and maybe i'll get that a triple shot.

Teresa, that sounds brutal! I would be a disaster with such little and broken up sleep. You better get that latte...you deserve it!!! Hopefully Eva will get used to sleeping in the crib soon!

Ouch! I had that with Kaylie too. You finally think that she's getting into a routine and then no, just kidding, she switches it up again. I hope you start to get more sleep soon!
