The potty train
Potty training this girl is going pretty well.

I am surprised, actually. This is Day 3 of her being dry all day, and she's even staying dry most nights (knock on wood). But, if someone has tips on how to get her to actually poo in the potty, that seems to be our big holdup. Advice, please!

Enough potty talk. Let's see, what else is new around here. Oh, I promised a picture of their bunk bed. Here it is (this is right after Nich cleared out the nursery stuff, constructed the new bed and I tucked the bedding in nicely. That's why there are no toys strewn everywhere, no decor up, and the bed is made. It will never look like this again).

The room-sharing is still going nicely. They wake up giggling together around 6:30, but they stay in their beds until Eva announces that it's 7:00am, and then they come giggling into my room and drag me out of bed. It's a routine that is working well.

It's gearing up to be a busy next few months around here. I am signed up for Prenatal Yoga, which starts tonight. The girls are signed up for Gymnastics on Tuesday nights. And, Eva has been invited to a neighbour's Kids Club at their church, which is one night a week, too (and she's carpooling with them, too, so we will be Eva-less from 5:30-8:00 every Thursday. This big girl thing is crazy weird! And, I'm totally going to miss her). These activities are all new, and on top of our usual scheduled evening activities. Whew! But, I am really thankful that the girls are in activities outside the home that are "their own". I think that will make them feel a lot more special when the new baby comes.

And, that's all for now. A picture of my (gigantic, 28 week) baby belly to come soon!

Wow, it looks GREAT!!!!! Can't wait to see your belly pic!!

Liliana was #1 trained for MONTHS before she was completely #2 trained. I got REALLY sick of getting poop out of princess panties, I just started throwing them out. She didn't like that. EVENTUALLY, she pooped only in the toilet. It took forever though. GOOD LUCK!!

    :)

the girls' room looks incredible, like a little girl dream room! i love it.
i, too, can't wait for a belly picture, even though i see you almost weekly (which should be WAY more than that, i really miss our coffee/chat time).
and i don't have advice for the pooping in the undies but i seem to recall "kickyboots" having this issue and then having a sudden breakthrough... i'll try to locate that post...

Way to go Katelyn! It took months to train Aida and the #2 was our issue too. We used good old fashioned bribery and told Aida that little girls who pooped their pants can't go to ballet lessons and she never pooped her pants again! We did, however, have to register her in ballet immediately, but it was SO worth it!

my guys were given stars for #1 and little cars for #2 - cars were lined up on the fridge, so they could see them. After a few accidents, they got the hang of it......

Regardless of what you try, it will work. The room looks great.
