June afternoon
Yesterday, the girls and I played in the front yard, blowing bubbles and riding bicycles in the afternoon sun. It was simple, but fun.

We laid in the grass and pointed out cloud formations: "That one looks like a bicycle!" "That one is a frog!"

The joy of the afternoon was soon to be multiplied when an old-fashioned ice cream truck pulled into our cul-de-sac. I have never given into my daughter's request for a cone from the ice cream truck before (dinner spoilers!), but that afternoon I did. We walked hand-in-hand to the truck, which stopped a few houses down for some other kids.

Kaitlyn picked a Pokemon pop and Eva picked the Rocket Pop (I would've gone for the fudgsicle, myself..) They grinned from ear to ear and were soon covered in yellow, red and blue goo.

This is what sunny, summer afternoons are made of. And, I did a draw for the devotional! My sweet, blogging friend, Elizabeth is the lucky recipient of 'Jesus Calling'. I'll get it in the mail to you this week!

YAY!!! Also, what a fantastic afternoon and those girls are gorgeous. We haven't had nice enough weather for an ice cream truck. Now, while all this rain is great for growing things, I wish.....

LOVE the pictures! brings back good memories - I grew up out in the sticks in Eastern Washington - one day my uncle who was driving an ice cream truck came out to our house - my brother and I didn't even know what the music was - what an exciting day! think I'll remember it forever :)
