Gdiapers
Did you know disposable diapers take 500 years to decompose? So, now I've got to thinking... maybe I should change my Pampers-clad baby into something a little more earth-friendly.

But, this I know. I'm a diapering wimp. So I'm pretty sure I wouldn't last if I decided to go the cloth diapering route.

These adorable Gdiapers, though? They have captured my attention. You can either flush or toss the disposable insert. AND, if you choose the tossing route- it's pretty guilt-free, because they only take 90 days to decompose.

So, I'm wondering, has anyone given these Gdiapers a try?

Funny you post about this. I too was struck by the G-diaper and invested in a starter pack last May...It lasted about 2 weeks? Just this week I pulled the stash out again since we are potty training and I am determined not to let the $$ go to waste! The thing is, you have to be super-duper vigilant about wet diapers, they get soaked FAST and when there is #2 it inevitably gets on the cloth, so have to be prepared by having lots of the covers. I prefer to use them when I know I am going to be home all day and then use disposables when we are out and at night. I know a few moms' that use them and you just have to be very determined, patient and prepared with extra clothes. I would say every little bit helps, so even if you use them while at home you are doing the world some good....but they are not miracle diapers by any means. Hope that gave you some insight to the G-diapers. They are adorable aren't they? We have Chocolate brown and dark blue!

i've been buying the seventh generation diapers and they are pretty good. they don't hold as much pee as huggies but the pooping is not an issue.

Yeah, go G!! I've heard they are fabulous and I know some people that have also bought fabric liners to help out with the cost of replacing liners. Any cloth diapers cost a chunk to get into, but it's worth it. Think of all the crud you are saving from going into landfills!!
