puzzled
Let's start off with a cute picture of how normal and well-behaved Eva can be. Just playing with the wood puzzle her Great Grandma gave to her for her birthday.

Then yesterday, I went and changed things up.
One nap. Instead of two.

She hasn't been the same since. Did I mention she woke up at 5:45 this morning, just to top it off? Now, I have never heard of the "Terrible Ones", but apparently Eva has, and decided she would become a monster. She now throws tantrums. Full-on, terrible two-ish tantrums. I'm sorry, I was not prepared for this. I haven't read up on how to deal with defiant behaviour, and I haven't researched proper disciplining for toddlers. Because I thought I had another good half year before this behaviour showed up.

What happened to my angel?? I want her BACK!

***Update*** 4:23pm
Eva is back to her normal self. She had a nice early afternoon nap, and since then she's been good.

The Terrible Ones are NO match to the Terrible Twos. No matter what though, at the end of the day when they're sleeping and you look in on them, your heart melts at how little and innocent they look and you thank God for the gift!

Daisy started throwing tantrums when she turned one too. Your friend Jen is right, terrible ones are no match for the terrible twos. It'll get better, though, once she can talk and express what she wants. After that you have to deal with "miss independant" terrible twos. That gets really challenging, especially when she wants to change her diaper by herself and you have to fight her every time you try to change her.
