Kaitlyn was pretty indifferent about the whole deal. She sat contently in the baby backpack, only once did she open her mouth to squeak the request that I hold her hand for awhile. She's so cute. 100% cute. I would like her to stay a baby forever. Pretty please.
Eva, oh Eva. She was excited. This morning, when she crawled in bed with Nich and I, we asked her if she wanted to go to the zoo. Her eyes got big, and she gasped, then exclaimed "The ZOO! I would LOVE to go to the zoo. I'm going to see elephants, and giraffes and lions and bears. I would love to go to the zoo, ever I do."
I love how she ends sentences with "ever I do". She says that after she announces she loves me, too. "I love you, ever I do", she says. I love 3-year old lingo. So fun.
So, anyway, we arrive at the zoo, and she ran excitedly to the gate. And, after we got entrance tickets, we told her we were going to go on the zoo train, too. Well, that was definitely the icing on the cake for her. She LOVES trains, and kept asking the whole time we were there, if it was time for the train yet.
We saw so many animals. I absolutely adore going to the zoo. I enjoy how God makes some incredibly, amazing creatures. All so different.
And, some absolutely hilarious.
Like this giraffe. I could have watched him all day. I took about 50 pictures of him, but I won't bore you, because his hilarious-ness probably doesn't come off the same way in still frames. But, really. You'll just have to believe me. He would waltz back and forth in front of the zoo guests, with his nose pointed high into the sky. He gave the funniest looks to us, I am quite positive that he was more intelligent than we pinned him for.
And, just as we were getting ready to go, he turns towards us, looks right at me, and starts swaggering over with his tail swooshing in the air.
What a ham. I love it. God is so creative, and must've known I was overdue for a good, long laugh.
I don't remember who theses guys were, but they were big on the affection.

And, so many more animals! But, this isn't an animal blog. It's a family blog. So, here's the family (minus me, I am always behind the camera, you know how it is) getting ready for the train ride. Kaitlyn was a tad nervous...
Eva, on the other hand...well, I haven't seen her this excited since the last train trip we took. This girl loves train rides.
The train ride was a great way to end the trip to the zoo. It was way too much fun, and we're looking forward to going again on another sunny day. Yay for sunny days!
Aw! That looks like so much fun! Okay, I'm getting more and more convinced to move over there. Now you have to work on Noah!!
